Summer Fun

It has been an eventful past couple of months for the two of us down here in Poky. Most people know already, but I am expecting our first baby in November! I am 19 weeks along already (almost 1/2 way!), and I'm still waiting for my tummy to pop out. It just looks chubby for now.... We will find out this Wednesday if we are going to have a boy or a girl. Of course we'd be happy with either, and the vote is split pretty well down the middle for those who have given their opinions! My first ultrasound was at 12 weeks, and I was going to post some of those pictures, but never got around to it, and since I'm having another one this week, I'll just post those pictures instead. Plus the baby won't look so alien-ish anymore. :) Geran and I are both so excited to welcome a new baby, and everything that comes with it!

The other big news thing for us is the purchase of our first home! It's in a great neighborhood (in the highland area, if you know Pocatello), our ward is great, and it is the perfect size for us: 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a 2 car garage (Geran is ultra-excited about that--and so am I!), nice big yard, separate living room and family room, kitchen and dining room, and an unfinished bonus room type room (I don't know what it's really called...) in the basement. The inside is still quite a mess of boxes, so some day when we get it all cleaned up and put together I'll post a few pictures of the inside. Hopefully by the end of summer we'll have the yard cleaned up and looking better too. I'm learning very quickly that owning a home means one project after another! We have a lot of lofty goals for the house, and we are planning on staying here for quite awhile to see them all realized! We feel very blessed to be able to be in such a great house, and really feel like this is where we are supposed to be. And now we'll have an extra guest bedroom for anyone that wants to come visit!!!!
